Hello, beautiful.

Women are told to force an outcome with their bodies.

That supposedly this is how we heal.

That's bullshit.

Cycle and Soma interrupts the paradigm you've been sold, by-and-through pleasure.

Introducing,

Cycle and Soma: The "High Touch" Somatic Coaching Experience

Over the course of six weeks, Cycle and Soma offers a pathway to begin to approach your female nervous system regulation in reverence to your innately cyclical physiology.

This is not a course, this is the path towards building an intentional relationship to your body by supporting your physiology, not working against it.

The "doing" of dopamine is actually not what you need.

Your body years to be fully seen and met.

But how?

  • The female nervous system requires a path towards re-sensualization through embodied safety.

  • Healthy rage is needed to overcome trapped emotions while bringing in pleasure to communicate safety to your nervous system.

  • Unprocessed emotions require a way to be felt and experienced with rhythm while respecting your bodies boundaries.

  • There is a DEEP need to build a relationship to pleasure as you also stretch towards your growth edge.

What's included when you register for Cycle and Soma?

  • Video lessons to set the foundation for working with your female nervous system (introduction and integration)

  • Four one on one 75 minute somatic sessions with me over the span of four weeks--each one meant to deepen over time.

  • Bespoke library of somatic practices made just for you. PLUS access to the community library.

  • Unlimited access to me in between sessions via voice messaging.

Areas we cover during our 6 weeks together:

  • Mapping your nervous system patterns

    • What you call your personality and comfort zone, are just autonomic responses your body has chosen.

  • How to approach survival states and come out of them.

    • When you feel frozen, numb, fatigued with no end, your body is in a survival state. Let's meet her.

  • How to digest anxiety, stress, fear and shame

    • Your rumination is not the problem, your body has unprocessed emotions that need witnessing.

  • How to build a relationship to pleasure

    • Pleasure (oxytocin) is how the female body registers safety to self and co-regulate.

TAKE A SNEAK PEAK:

Cycle and Soma's unique METHODOLOGY

RE-SENSE-ization 01

Getting into the sensing of doing, the doing of sensing.

In a dopamine-driven world, connecting to our senses in an intentional way is a real growth edge for women.

UNBORN rage 02

Your rage is hard to access because its terrifying to go there all at once.

We tend to rage like a life force preparing to be born, because it is.

Pelvic descent 03

Your pelvis is the first part of your body that responds to a threat, safety, and pleasure. Without a connection to this matrix of your body, you can't access your full, authentic power.

Deep dive into the nuances of the female nervous system

Q and A to your most asked questions.

hey love,

I'm Verónica or V 💕

I created Pleasure as Praxis because I saw a huge gap in the way women understand their relationship to pleasure and by extension their female nervous system.

As a doctoral candidate specializing in the history and philosophy of science of the female nervous system and the female orgasm my practice is informed by my research.

I merge what I call the "new" science of the female nervous system that is largely led by female researchers, birth workers and midwives, doulas and somatic experiencing practitioners who understand the female pelvis as the center of our somatic experience and therefore our nervous system healing.

However, I am not called to this work purely out of curiosity.

My methodology is also informed by my own lived experience battling with chronic illness (muscular dystrophy, POTS, PCOS, and CPTSD)

I understand the fear and distress that overcomes us when we are told that we are facing a lifelong incurable condition. Or when we simply don't believe we can change because there is too much to face.

This is why I believe in soft work, in slow progress, in tender care for ourselves with strategy and science backed female nervous system informed approaches. I love what I get to offer women because it is exactly what I yearned for in my darkest times.
